Newly designed shovels

 

In the past month we have been able to complement our eARTh collection with very meaningful designed shovels. This time Belgian artists started working with our icon ‘the shovel’.

With this project we want to create awareness, because by simply digging with a shovel we make the earth greener. The designer collective from Hasselt presents a beautiful exhibition under the name ‘Labo goes down to earth’. The Lab was founded in 1987 in Hasselt as a platform for designers. Via FlandersDC the question from Justdiggit ended up at Het Labo. A mix of Laborants and other designers joined forces and interpreted the object ‘shovel’ in a different way. The shovels were on display throughout the month at the Okazie Kringwinkel in Hasselt. Below is a small selection of the creatures.
