Training the trainer!

Together with Lead Foundation we are training ‘as we speak’ 1,300 farmers in Tanzania the ‘Kisiki Hai’ re-greening technique.

“Kisiki Hai” – Tanzanian for “a living stump” – is a fast, inexpensive and sustainable method of re-greening degraded landscapes. Living tree stumps thus get the chance to grow into beautiful large trees again.

To scale up the Kisiki Hai method in Tanzania, we train farmers who in their turn educate their fellow villagers. In this way, the re-greening technique can be picked up by a lot of households and have a huge impact!
