About JustdiggitÂ
We believe that if we can warm up the planet, we can also cool it down. Together with farmers, pastoralists and local partners, we cool down the planet by regreening dry and degraded land in Africa. We combine traditional and cost-effective nature-based solutions with data, communications and (mobile) technology. We want to let the world know that nature-based solutions are key to reversing climate change and inspire everyone to join the movement and become an ambassador of regreening. So dig in and let’s cool down the planet!Â
What will you be doing at Justdiggit?Â
- You support the team across a variety of tasks—conducting market and trend research, drafting proposals and propositions, identifying funding opportunities, updating our ‘impact pages’ (reports) with new data and helping engage partners. Your analytical mindset, results-oriented approach, and clear writing will make a real difference.
- You will be in contact with (international) foundations, institutions and corporates and support our team throughout the entire process – from prospecting and outreach to proposal writing and partnership management.
- You will have a lot of contact with colleagues from Justdiggit’s other departments in order to provide the business development team with the latest information: updates on projects, photo and video material, presentations from other teams and so on. Other supporting activities are taking meeting notes, preparing meetings, preparing lunch with the other interns, managing the partnerships mailbox and more.
Required experience & skills:
- You feel energized in an entrepreneurial and dynamic not-for-profit organization with a focus on climate impact and growth;
- You are an independent worker who feels comfortable owning tasks while being flexible as priorities shift during the day;
- You are a team player and pragmatic, with genuine curiosity about business development, fundraising, and partnership-building in a not-for-profit environment;
- You are confident preparing and delivering presentations;
- You understand the concept of corporate sustainability and have a good understanding of how government, philantropic and corporate sectors operate internationally;
- Basic knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint). Nice to have: experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
What we ask:
- You are currently studying (HBO or university);
- You are available 4/5 days a week for a minimum of 5 months;
- You are able to work from our office in Amsterdam (close to Central station) for the majority of the week (i.e. live in Amsterdam or have a student OV card as we unfortunately cannot compensate for travel costs);
- You are fluent in Dutch and English;
- You want to contribute to a better world!
What do we offer
- Room for personal and professional development;
- Being introduced to a large global network, with networking opportunities with like-minded individuals and organizations;
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field;
- Work in the city center of Amsterdam, with the possibility of working from home;
- An internship allowance of €400, – based on 40 hours a week;
- Free lunches at the office;
- Great colleagues!
