Justdiggit in
the Netherlands

Justdiggit started campaigning in The Netherlands in 2013.

The first campaign was to launch the Justdiggit brand and show one of the solutions to climate change: digging. Our late patron Desmond Tutu starred in this campaign, together with our great ambassadors: TV presenter Floortje Dessing and astronaut André Kuipers.

Through the wonderful in-kind support of our media partners, we launched the campaign nationwide, through billboards, digital screens, radio and television, social media, cinemas, and digital ads.

Bringing a solution to climate change
Since we first started off in the Netherlands, our campaigns have completely transformed. In the beginning, we were all about spreading about our mission. Now we’re able to demonstrate our regreening successes and the benefits of nature-based solutions. Our sole goal is to spread this positive message, make people aware and bring them hope: there is a solution to climate change.

Thanks to our wonderful partners we have been able to reach millions of people and have received millions of euros in sponsored media. A movement has started.

Results we are proud of

Inspire, unite & activate

If you want to make a global change, you need to be everywhere: news, ads, social channels, conversations, and above all in people’s hearts and minds. To do this, we use the power of media and communications, to build awareness and understanding and to show that together we can have a positive and significant impact on climate change.

Our global online and offline awareness campaigns are developed to promote nature-based solutions and to inspire, unite and activate an entire generation and grow a landscape restoration movement.

Campaign 2022/2023

“The greener, the cooler”

It’s easier to believe in regreening when you can see with your own eyes that it works. That’s why we recently launched our new campaign ‘The greener, the cooler’, together with our long time partner, creative agency, Havas Lemz. Get ready to be transported to Africa!

Campaign 2019/2020

To promote our solution to the world, we develop positive campaigns. Our 2019/2020 campaign explains how our regreening projects work and shows the results in just a few months’ time. Dig | Green | Cool, it’s that simple.

Campaign 2018

Our 2018 campaign shows the positive results of our projects in Kenya and how our method works. The message we want to share is that large-scale regreening not only has a positive impact on the climate, it also contributes directly to water and food security, biodiversity, and the promotion of the local economy.

The campaign is only available in Dutch.

Event: the Raindance Project
Since there is no movement without rhythm, we launched The Raindance Project: a series of simultaneous biennial live concerts, to celebrate and showcase the potential of landscape restoration to the world – and to raise funds for our projects in Africa. The festival was held simultaneously at three different locations (Kenya, Tanzania, and the Netherlands), and all locations were live connected to one another, to bring together one movement and celebrate regreening together.

Due to COVID-19, we were forced to put the Raindance Festival on hold until further notice.

Educating kids with Meester Boy
Primary school students are the first generation to really face the consequences of climate change and the generation to do something about it.

Meester Boy teaches children all about the importance of CO2, soil, water, biodiversity, and Justdiggit’s solution to climate change. With this knowledge, we hope to inspire and motivate children to become part of a green revolution!

Influencers trip to Tanzania and Kenya
We work together with social influencers, reaching out to a newer, younger target audience, to share our work and the importance of regreening.

In 2019 we partnered up with Influencer Marketing Agency (IMA). With them, we organized a trip with influencers to visit our projects in Kenya and Tanzania, where they showed the world the potential of regreening. This led to a huge increase in social media following!

Our approach

How we run awareness campaigns

If you want to start a movement, you need to be everywhere: news, ads, content, social channels, conversations, and above all in people’s hearts and minds. Justdiggit uses the power of all sorts of media and communications channels in order to do so; to create awareness, understanding and to bring a solution to climate change, all in a positive mindset.

Our global on- and offline awareness campaigns are part of our larger communication strategy and developed to promote nature-based solutions and to inspire, unite and activate an entire generation and grow a landscape restoration movement.
