Climate Marathon and Climate Classic join forces for Justdiggit on June 20
On Thursday, June 20, 2025, Running 4 Climate and Cycling 4 Climate will unite for a common cause: regreening the Earth. The second edition of the Climate Marathon and the sixth edition of the Climate Classic will both take place on the same day, promising to make a powerful statement for climate action.
Running 4 Climate organizes the Climate Marathon (Klimaatmarathon), while Cycling 4 Climate is responsible for the Climate Classic cycling event. Both events are designed to raise climate awareness and funds for sustainable initiatives. This year, they have chosen Justdiggit as their joint beneficiary.
Roos van Oosten, board member of Running 4 Climate, is enthusiastic about this collaboration: “June 20 is the big day! Running 4 Climate is organizing the second edition of the Climate Marathon. On the same day, the sixth Climate Classic by Cycling 4 Climate will be taking place. This year, we’re joining forces for a super green cause: Justdiggit. The choice was made quickly – because cooling the planet together aligns perfectly with our missions.”
Jasper de Boom, board member of Cycling 4 Climate, adds: “We’re extremely proud to be partnering with Justdiggit this year. On June 20, we’ll do everything we can to inspire and activate the thousands of cyclists and runners participating to recruit donors for this wonderful cause. So that every climate kilometer cycled and run contributes to greening and making Africa more sustainable.”
Participants in both events are encouraged to raise donations for Justdiggit, whose mission of regreening dry regions in Sub-Saharan Africa perfectly aligns with the goal of both organizations: a cooler planet for everyone.
