DHL teams in The Netherlands turn empty bottles into green impact

Sustainability is in full swing at DHL locations in Nijmegen and Wijchen! Employees have joined forces to collect empty PET bottles and cans from their canteens or even brought from home. With enthusiasm and teamwork, they’ve set up their own informal ‘deposit points’, creating a growing supply of recyclables ready to make a difference.

The goal? To turn these bottles and cans into action for the planet! Instead of keeping the proceeds, the team has chosen to donate the funds to Justdiggit. 

Small steps, big Impact

This is about more than just recycling. It’s about demonstrating how small, everyday actions can support big environmental changes. “We wanted to give back, not just to the planet but to a cause that inspires us,” shared initiator Robert Mooij.

With the collection effort thriving, the next step is finding a sustainable and structured way to continue. Every bottle counts, not just for recycling but for helping Justdiggit combat climate change and restore ecosystems worldwide.
