Iramba (Cluster F1) – Treecovery Progress Update – October 2026

Cluster F1, comprising five villages and 20 champion farmers, completed its first quarter of implementation with a focus on establishing a strong foundation for community-led restoration. In July, all 20 champion farmers received their first-ever Training of Trainers (ToT), equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills in the promoted regreening techniques and preparing them to support other farmers in their communities.

The training also marked the beginning of a new approach to digital learning. Champion farmers were provided with smartphones and onboarded onto the Kijani App, learning how to set up Google accounts, download the app, and access its learning resources.

The cluster also completed its first round of movie roadshows across all five villages, introducing communities to key regreening messages, raising awareness about land degradation and restoration, and generating interest among farmers to participate in and adopt restoration practices.
