Justdiggit & BOSKA: Together for a greener future
Since 2022, Justdiggit has been partnering with BOSKA to support landscape restoration in Tanzania. While BOSKA creates Food Tools designed to last a lifetime using natural materials, we share the same vision of creating a greener and more sustainable future. We recently had an interview with Maurijn Legein – CEO & Co-owner BOSKA Food Tools – about the partnership and why investing in nature is important for BOSKA as a company. Maurijn shared that investing in nature connects directly to what BOSKA stands for. Healthy ecosystems are the foundation of our future, and challenges like climate change, drought, and biodiversity loss affect everyone, including businesses. According to him, partnerships like this make sustainability more tangible, as people can directly see the positive impact being created.
A simple approach with powerful impact
Maurijn also explained that the simplicity and optimism behind Justdiggit’s approach strongly motivated him to support the partnership: “They focus on solutions that are practical, scalable, and proven to work”. Through Treecovery (Kisiki Hai) – a simple but effective technique that helps regrow trees from cut-down stumps – BOSKA and Justdiggit have already helped recover 75,000 trees in Tanzania and restored 790 hectares of land. This result is estimated to positively impact around 2,520 people.
