Lormeuti – August 2025

Bund digging at the Lormeuti site began in early April 2025, with 122 community members taking part, including 22 supervisors and 100 community members supporting in the digging process. During the digging period, the area received only one rainfall, which was not enough to trigger full germination of the seeded bunds.

While initial rains were limited, more rainfall is expected between October and December. During this period, we anticipate stronger germination and will also complete the final seeding and covering activities. With the community’s continued involvement, the site is well positioned for a strong recovery in the next rainy season.
