Mkalama (Cluster D) – Treecovery Progress Update – October 2026

We completed the advanced and final Training of Trainers (ToTs) for all 120 champion farmers in 30 villages, marking an important milestone in their training journey. The training also focused on sustainability, preparing champion farmers to continue serving as local resource persons and ensuring that restoration knowledge and practices remain embedded in communities beyond the project period.

Also, a final round of movie roadshows took place, which reached more than 10,000 people in those 30 villages, bringing communities together to learn about restoration while enjoying entertainment through sports bonanzas and traditional dances. The combination of learning, practical messages, and community entertainment helped make restoration a shared and engaging community experience.
