Singida Cluster D2 Update – April 2025

Singida Cluster D2 update – April 2025

Program Implementation and Field Supervision

During this reporting period, the District Coordinator conducted field visits across all 10 villages within Cluster D2, providing supportive supervision and engaging directly with Champion Farmers. These visits allowed for:

  • Monitoring progress,
  • Addressing challenges at the grassroots level, for champion farmers it includes filling of booklets and data reporting and
  • Strengthening the implementation of program activities by having different stakeholders meeting and events.

As a result, in its first year, a total of 40,322 Kisiki Hai trees have been restored in Cluster D2.

Champion Support and Community Engagement

To ensure effective delivery, the District Coordinator also dedicated time to coaching all Champion Farmers and visiting individual farms. These efforts deepened community engagement and built capacity at the local level. One key community meeting was held in Lukomo Village, fostering awareness and collective action around regreening practices. But also, as part of creating and raising awareness about Kisiki Hai, champion farmers in this cluster have engaged in training of Kisiki Hai as a technique to primary school teachers (picture below).

Stakeholder Engagement

In October 2024, Cluster D2 was officially launched through a productive stakeholder meeting that brought together key partners and leaders at the district level. The meeting focused on:

  • Introducing the RSP program in D2,
  • Setting expectations, and
  • Planning the implementation phase.

Additional stakeholders’ meetings were conducted in Singida and Mkalama Districts, strengthening partnerships and aligning efforts for long-term sustainability.
