Justdiggits usage of AI
How Justdiggit Uses
AI Responsibly
At Justdiggit, we believe innovation can help us regreen more land and mobilise more farmers, but only when used responsibly.
AI has a footprint and we are here to cool down the planet, so we take that seriously. We use AI with clear limits and only when it truly accelerates our impact.
Why we use AI avatarsÂ
A great example of AI that helps us scale are our AI trainers. They teach regreening techniques through the Kijani app. Using an avatar means we can update lessons to respond to farmer feedback instantly and avoid repeated travel and filming.
The avatars speak many different languages which is essential as we scale digital regreening across Sub-Saharan Africa. With a few edits, we can adapt training for new techniques, new landscapes, or new partners. This would be impossible to do at this speed with traditional video.Â
Authenticity matters
Authenticity is at the heart of our work.
Our before-and-after photos are real, our impact is real, and our stories are rooted in local communities. AI helps deliver training, but it never replaces people. The human connection: partners, champions, and farmers working together, remains central to everything we do.
A future of personalised regreening advice
Today, our AI trainers deliver scripted lessons created by our team. Tomorrow, AI will help tailor advice to each farmer’s land, crops, and challenges.
While making this vision a reality we are confident to:
- use AI transparently and thoughtfully,Â
- keep digital emissions as low as possible,Â
- and prioritise human relationships and real, verified impact.Â
Used responsibly, AI allows us to scale regreening faster: so its positive contribution to people and the planet far outweighs its environmental cost.Â
