In that case, the (online) magazine of Mazingira Yetu might be just for you. Here, diverse experts from the field share their inspiring stories and different approaches to environmental conservation. We are also featured in its latest edition!
Mazingira Yetu (meaning ‘Our Environment’) is a community-based organisation from Kenya that aims to create an informed and resilient society on the topic of climate (change). They run programmes on environmental education and communication and specialise in a human-centered approach to ecosystem restoration.
Their bi-yearly magazine is not only distributed online, but also in classrooms all over the country, to organisations, and big institutions. The goal is to teach Kenyans more about the effects of climate change, and what we can do about it.
We had the honour to write a contribution for the latest edition of this magazine. In this article, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of how large-scale landscape restoration using nature-based solutions does not just fight land degradation, but also substantially impacts climate change.
